Today this website does two things: it collects an email address so we can tell you when Machinai is available to download, and — only if you choose to answer — a short optional questionnaire about how you work and what you'd pay. This page explains what happens to both.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you type it into the waitlist form and submit it.
- Your questionnaire answers, if you fill in the optional survey after joining — what you're building, what you spend on tools now, which features appeal to you, what you'd consider a fair price, and any comment you leave. Every question is optional, and your answers are stored alongside your email so we can make sense of them. You can join the waitlist without answering any of it.
- Standard server request data — the ordinary IP address and browser information any web server receives when you load a page.
We do not run analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking scripts on this site, and we do not set cookies.
Why we collect it
The email address is so we can tell you about the Machinai launch: when the download opens, and when founding-cohort invitations go out. The questionnaire answers are used only to decide what to build and how to price it. We will not sell, rent, or share either with anyone for their own marketing.
Who else touches it
- Resend stores the waitlist and sends the emails. Your address is held in their system as a contact.
- Neon stores the questionnaire answers (with the email they belong to) in a database, if you choose to answer.
- Vercel hosts this website and processes the requests that carry your address and answers from the form to Resend and Neon.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe, or until you ask us to delete it. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list. If you ask us to delete your data, we remove your questionnaire answers along with your address.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or permanently delete the address and any answers we hold for you, at any time and for any reason. Email support@machinai.app and we will do it.
The app itself
Machinai is a desktop application that runs on your own computer. Your projects, media, renders, and analytics are stored on your disk, and your AI provider keys are stored in your operating system's credential manager. Data leaves your machine only when you send it to a provider you have connected, or publish to a platform you have connected. A separate privacy policy covering the application will ship with it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with your address, we will say so in an email to the list before it takes effect.
